Wheaton Fire Department Station 1

Today the Wheaton Fire Department celebrated 125 years by opening their doors to the community. I was on my way to Target when my neighbor Katy invited us to go see the fire trucks with her son Charlie. Little did we know what fun was in store!

Firemen Zachary and Charlie

Riding on TOP of the firetruck around the block with the sirens blaring!
We got to explore several kinds of firetrucks
We got to peek into their closet!
Driving the Ranger
Then we got to see a real helicopter! Pilot ZacharyOne happy passenger A day he will not soon forget!

What a fun field trip! I love going to the fire department. We actually just visited two weeks ago to bring cookies to the firemen who took Jackie to the ER after his rattlesnake bite. It was very cool to be able to thank them again in a more rational moment.
