Today the Melting Pot where Dane took me on our first date, the night of our engagement, and for our 7th anniversary closed its doors for the last time. In honor of their closing they rolled the prices on their Signature Selection (our favorite meal) back to its original price when they opened in 1993. I was able to find someone to watch Zachary, someone else from Craigslist forwarded to me the email with the coupon the day before we went, and they squeezed us in for a reservation after telling me they were full! We were so blessed to get away on this much needed date.

Saying Goodbye

So how much was the Signature selection in 1935? That's not the dinner for two, is it?
I'm so glad you got to go one more time?! How sad that it is closing?! That surprises me! Were they moving locations?

Oops! I did it again. I meant to say 1993. The meal for 2 was only $35! Yes, they moved to Downers Grove.
